Despite her small size, Alyssa's spirit is undeniably strong. Rescued from the streets of a small California town, Alyssa arrived at Pets Return Home with physical injuries and a deep-seated fear of humans. However, with the help of our dedicated team, Alyssa is on a journey towards healing and hope.//

Alyssa's journey at Pets Return Home began in 2021 when she was flown over for medical and behavioral rehabilitation. Initially fearful and aggressive towards humans, Alyssa struggled to trust and connect with people. However, over time, she has found solace and companionship with two of our other sanctuary and in-treatment dogs, Aries WD and Jasper. Together, they provide Alyssa safety, friendship, and a sense of belonging.//

Despite her challenges, Alyssa has made remarkable progress at Pets Return Home. Recently, in 2024, she has shown signs of trust by coming inside the house when her companions do, enjoying the comfort and warmth of indoor living. However, Alyssa still requires ongoing care, training, and support to overcome her fears and become adoptable.//
