Hi My name is Rusty. I am rusty in color, about 2 years old, neutered have all my shots, crate trained and love other dogs and people. I do need proper introduction to new dogs and people. Otherwise I am a bit nervous. This is because I spent half of my life in kennels. I was rescued by Katie and she sent me to Pets Return Home Canine Rehabilitation and Rescue Center for confidence and trust building. I am so happy and confident now after being here a couple of months. I am mostly house trained but could use some more help with that. I am not sure about cats as I never have been around any. I really like to hike, swim and just run and play all day with another dog or human. I am looking for a patient family to love and be loved by forever.

Behavioral notes:

Rusty arrived in a high fear state and very confused.  We have had him here for 2 months and he has adjusted well.  He is still a bit nervous to new people.  He does not like to stay in the outside kennels and will climb out.  He will stay inside in a crate comfortable.  He needs a strong leader to help him continue to develop confidence and trust.
