My name is Levi! I ended up at Pets Return Home because I got picked on at the boarding place. It may have been my fault a little, since I am young, handsome and totally awesome!  I think so anyway. I let everyone else know I am too. I can be cocky with other dogs but I never have gotten into a fight. Lots of growls - but hey I love animals too.

I am currently learning what human touch is all about.  At first it was very scary.  But now I am starting to like it.  t feels really good.  I like looking into the eyes of the human rubbing me.

I like to play hard and have fun. I am not food aggressive.  I am a boxer mix and probably better as an only dog with a woman or man who are active. I love hiking and swimming. Kids are okay - I have been hiking with a few. I listen well. I can sit, come and stay.  Watch me around the counters. My fosters right now have me convinced peeking up on the counter is a bad thing (rolling my eyes) but I may try to get away with it at your place.

I need a home with a loving family and a backyard. I like massages and will snuggle sometimes.  Other times I like the crate or just lounging.  Right now I hang with 22 dogs during the day and 10 at night.  We all get along because I know my canine manners.  I do enjoy being in a crate - it makes me feel safe and I like hanging outside in the yard all night too.

It takes me awhile to warm up to men - but I am learning they are okay too.  I still need some training for walking on leash and I don't really jump up on people - but I have been known to do this from time to time.  'OFF" works good for me. :)

I am so desperate to find my forever home.  I really want to make a loving family happy and fall in love with me.  Will yu be that family?  Will you take me home - even if just to foster me to see how I do?  I promise to be a good loving boy.

Behavior Coach Notes

Levi seems to have limited dog on dog socializing prior to coming to Pets Return Home. After 2 months he is doing well with all dogs.  He does muzzle punch the familiar male dogs but they ALL ignore him.  It is standard for young dogs his age and breed to do this.  Once another dog understands this is just for show there are no problems.  Levi is not aggressive so he shies away from any negative interaction.

He needs a foster environment for a minimum of two weeks prior to adoption.  This period will tell us how he reacts to a family setting.
